Graduate Student Organizations (GSOs)

Graduate Student Organizations are the lifeblood of GSS; they provide a social, political, and cultural context for graduate students. Every student is encouraged to either join an existing GSO or start your own.

Registering a New GSO

download an application for a new GSO ; the deadline for application is Sept.15 2009. Minimum requirements for beginning a new GSO are:

    • One (1) elected officer
    • A consitution, charter, or defining document
    • Ten (10) graduate students

Re-register Your Organization

All existing graduate student organizations must re-register at the beginning of each academic year. Please finish this form and return it to GSS. The deadline for 2009-10 registration is Sept. 15th 2009.

Get Funding From GSS

Types of GSS funds available

Ad-Hoc funding: For funding for events, on an individual basis. This money is to be used if a GSO does not have a yearly budget, or has exceeded that budget.

Please Note: All existing GSOs must re-register at the beginning of each academic year. Re-registration is required for accessing GSOs' approved funds. The 2009-2010 re-registration deadline is September 15th, 2009.
